Position, Education, Research Interests, Biography: Professor Dr. Muna Salih Merza is a distinguished Iraqi academic specializing in oral pathology and cancer research. Born on February 7, 1966, in Baghdad, she earned her PhD and currently holds the position of full professor in the Prosthetic Dental Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University College in Babylon, Iraq. Throughout her career, Professor Merza has contributed significantly to the field of dentistry, authoring 43 publications that have garnered over 1,600 reads and 117 citations. Her research interests encompass oral pathology, cancer research, immunohistochemistry, and clinical pathology. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, Professor Merza serves as the Editor-in-Chief of "Future Dental Research," a journal dedicated to advancements in dental science. Her extensive experience and dedication to the field have established her as a leading figure in dental research and education in Iraq.

Position, Education, Research Interests, Biography:Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Gheni Taher is an esteemed Iraqi academic specializing in oral and maxillofacial pathology. Born in 1981, he is currently affiliated with the College of Medicine at the University of Diyala, Iraq. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.): Graduated from the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, in 2004 as a high achiever. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology: Earned from the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, in 2011, ranking second in his class. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology: Obtained from the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, in 2017, where he graduated first in his class. Diploma in Implantology: Awarded by the British Academy for Implant and Restorative Dentistry (BAIRD) in 2012.Dr. Taher has actively contributed to research in his field. Notably, he co-authored a study titled "Salivary Interleukin 17a and IL1 as a Dependent Positive Predictive Biomarker for Oral Squamous Cell Carcinomas in Iraqi Patients," published in December 2024. This research focuses on the potential of salivary biomarkers in the early detection of oral cancers.
